On December 14, 2019 the regional finals were held for the 2019 season to see what four teams would advance to the national finals in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. The game I covered for that match was the game of Baylor against Washington. Now it's time to cover the game to see who will be moving on to Pittsburg and who's season will sadly come to an end.
The first set ended at 25-20 with Baylor taking that set. The second set ended at 25-21 with Washington taking that set. The third set ended at 25-19 with Baylor taking that set and being up 2 sets to Washington's 1 set going into the fourth set. The fourth set ended at 25-18 with Baylor taking that set and winning the game 3 sets to Washington's 1 set.
The athlete with the most kills goes to Baylor's Yossiana Pressley, with 24, while Kara Bajema led Washington with 20 kills of her own. The leader in digs was Washington's Shayne McPherson, with 13, while Braya Hunt led Baylor with 10 digs of her own. The leader in blocks was Baylor's Kara McGhee, with 5 blocks, while Avie Niece led Washington with 3 blocks of her own. The leader in assists was Baylor's Hannah Lockin, with 48 assists, while Ella May Powell led Washington with 42 assists of her own.
